Purity of Thought? wraps up this site’s commentary on the recent “canonizations” of Angel Roncalli/John XXIII and Karol Wojtyla/John Paul II, focusing on the latter’s record as an enabler of clerical abusers. The record is far, far different than that presented cursorily at a press conference in Rome six days ago now by Dr. Joaquin Navarro-Valls, who served as “Saint John Paul II’s” personal spinmeister from 1984 until the “saint’s” death on April 1 (or 2), 2005, continuing in that capacity until July 11, 2006, under Joseph Ratzinger/Benedict XVI. This article should not be read by those who do not want to read stories of clerical abuse.
